- Haaland received over 80% of the vote, the largest margin of victory in the award's 30-year history.
- The 22-year-old Norwegian forward has scored 51 goals in 47 games across all competitions this season as Man City chase a treble.
- Sam Kerr, star of the Chelsea women's team, was named Women's Footballer of the Year.
- Haaland and Kerr will receive their awards at the Footballer of the Year dinner in London on May 25.
