Premier League Ends Stonewall Partnership and Overhauls Inclusion Symbols

The league will replace rainbow-branded kit items with Premier League-only branding to prepare its own LGBTQ+ inclusion campaign next February.

Overview

  • The eight-year alliance with Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign has officially been terminated.
  • Club captains agreed that matchday armbands will feature only the Premier League logo, ending campaign-specific messaging.
  • Rainbow laces and other campaign-branded kit items will be phased out at the start of the new season.
  • An in-house LGBTQ+ inclusion initiative is set to launch during February’s LGBTQ+ History Month after stakeholder consultation.
  • Players will continue taking the knee for anti-racism on two occasions during October’s Black History Month.
