Pregnant Texas Teen and Boyfriend Murdered, Police Seek Persons of Interest

Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra were found shot dead in a car in San Antonio, with the case now being investigated as a capital murder. Surveillance footage has been released showing two persons of interest.

Savanah Soto, 18, and her boyfriend Matthew Guerra, 22, were found shot dead in a car in San Antonio, Texas. Soto was nine months pregnant and was due to give birth.
San Antonio Police have released surveillance footage showing two persons of interest, one driving a dark-colored Chevy Silverado pickup truck and another driving the victims’ silver Kia Optima.
Guerra died from a gunshot wound to the head, but it is unclear whether it was a suicide or homicide. Soto also died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death has been ruled a homicide.
Guerra was on probation for assaulting Soto on Christmas Day in 2022. His probation was extended to February 2025 after he racked up several other charges.
The case is being investigated as a capital murder case, and no suspects have been named yet.
