Pregnant Restaurant Owner Shot and Killed in Seattle; Suspect Charged with Murder

A 32-week pregnant woman was shot and killed while stopped at an intersection in Seattle. Her baby was delivered but died shortly after.
The victim, Eina Kwon, owned a sushi restaurant near Pike Place Market with her husband, who was also shot but survived.
Cordell Maurice Goosby, 30, was arrested at the scene and confessed to the shooting, claiming he thought the victims had a gun. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
Goosby had a history of mental health issues and felony convictions in Illinois. He was also wanted in Indiana on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery.
The random attack has led to an outpouring of grief and support for the Kwon family, including crowdfunding campaigns raising over $160,000.
