Police say targeted surveillance using technical leads led to a trap in Ghansoli following her escape during a hospital visit.

  • She had slipped past a woman constable at Mumbai’s JJ Hospital on August 14 after being taken there from Byculla women’s jail for treatment.
  • Investigators reviewed CCTV, deployed undercover teams including officers posing as delivery staff, and used technical intelligence to track her movements.
