- Police state Singh tried to arrange a termination through a doctor with the help of the pharmacist, was told it was too late, killed the girl, and concealed her body in the septic tank.
- Following public protests, a magisterial probe and a departmental inquiry were initiated, the Titabar police station chief was placed on reserve duty, and officers are examining claims the accused posed as a faith healer who exploited women.
