Overview
- The trailer for Pratap has drawn a positive response and helped shape late-stage promotion for the Amit Sadh-led drama thriller.
- Amit Sadh says he prepared the role with careful physical and psychological work and describes Pratap as a larger-than-life, brash encounter-cop.
- Sadh says he watches box-office figures closely and views commercial performance as important for his career and the film’s backers.
- Director Sachin Saraf rejected the idea that the film is based on one recent police case and says the story focuses on what happens when a powerful person loses position.
- The film was retitled from Main to Pratap after the original title was registered by someone else and the team confirmed the unplanned same-day release with Sunny Deol’s Soorya, a scheduling risk they plan to face.
