Overview
- At a Patna press conference, Kishor alleged Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary evaded trial in the 1995 Tarapur killings by using a school admit card to be treated as a minor, which he said conflicts with a 2020 affidavit indicating Choudhary would have been about 26 at the time.
- He demanded Choudhary’s immediate dismissal and arrest, said a Jan Suraaj delegation will petition the Governor, and warned he will move court if authorities do not act.
- Choudhary rejected the accusations as baseless, asserting he was acquitted in 1997–98, while BJP functionaries dismissed the charges as sensational; no government action has been announced.
- Kishor also escalated corruption allegations against JD(U) minister Ashok Choudhary, claiming kickbacks on public works contracts and properties worth about Rs 200 crore, and threatened to release documents alleging Rs 500 crore in benami assets unless a Rs 100 crore defamation notice is withdrawn.
- Seeking to pre‑empt questions on funding, Kishor disclosed he earned Rs 241 crore from consultancy over three years, paid roughly Rs 31 crore in GST and Rs 20 crore in income tax, and donated about Rs 99 crore to Jan Suraaj.
