Overview

• The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority said inflows and outflows at Prakasam Barrage reached 4.05 lakh cusecs, after 3.62 lakh cusecs were logged by 10:45 am.
• Upstream projects are pushing high releases on the Krishna: Srisailam outflow at 3.62 lakh cusecs, Nagarjuna Sagar at 3.17 lakh cusecs, and Pulichintala at 3.72 lakh cusecs.
• On the Godavari, Dowleswaram recorded 5.31 lakh cusecs and Bhadrachalam stood at 37.7 ft, with officials saying Dowleswaram could reach its first warning level by Friday.
• Authorities urged people in low-lying and riparian areas to take precautions, advised against crossing streams or entering the rivers, and cautioned festival-goers planning idol immersions.
• Local officials reported overflowing rivulets disrupting road connectivity in parts of Krishna and NTR districts and said vulnerable villages and low-lying colonies are under close watch.
