Overview
- The Project Monitoring Group is tracking 61 projects in Jammu & Kashmir worth ₹4.12 lakh crore, with 15 completed and 46 under implementation.
- Under PRAGATI, 15 high-priority projects worth ₹1.12 lakh crore are under direct monthly review by the Prime Minister, with the platform also reviewing social schemes and public grievances.
- Officials report that 57 of 59 issues tied to these priority works have been resolved, primarily covering land acquisition, environmental clearances, financial approvals and construction hurdles.
- Six projects worth about ₹53,000 crore have been completed or commissioned, including the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link, the Banihal stretch of NH-44, AIIMS Jammu facilitation, Kishanganga hydropower coordination and the Alusteng–Kargil–Khaltse–Leh transmission line.
- Nine additional projects worth about ₹59,000 crore are under active PRAGATI monitoring, including the Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway, AIIMS Awantipora, the Pakal Dul hydropower project and the USOF 4G coverage scheme.
