Overview

• The Museo Nacional del Prado has inaugurated a focused show of around ten paintings in Sala 60, on view until January 11, 2026.
• Half of the exhibited works underwent recent restorations, including the acclaimed “Paisaje del Pardo al disiparse la niebla” (1866).
• A display case presents Muñoz Degrain’s 1899 admission discourse to the Real Academia de San Fernando, a donated drawing and a portrait by Miguel Blay.
• Two additional paintings—including the preparatory pencil study for “Los amantes de Teruel”—are slated to join the exhibition in October.
• This presentation continues the Prado’s program, running since 2009, of spotlighting its 19th-century collection through small monographic displays.
