Overview
- The Department of School Education and Literacy is running the initiative with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and AICTE to engage students in Classes 6–12 across lakhs of schools nationwide.
- Schools can register on the official portal vbb.mic.gov.in from September 23 to October 6, with a preparation week set for October 6–13.
- A two-hour synchronized innovation event will be held on October 13, after which teams can submit final entries until October 31.
- Entries will be evaluated by experts in November and December, and a ₹1 crore prize pool will recognize 1,000 district winners, 100 state winners and 10 national winners.
- Student teams will ideate and prototype around Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local and Samriddh Bharat, building on the Atal Tinkering Labs network and prior school innovation programmes.
