Overview
- Organised by the Education Ministry’s Department of School Education and Literacy with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and AICTE, the initiative invites students from classes 6–12 in schools across India.
- The drive targets participation from about six lakh schools and up to 12 crore students, with registration live on vbb.mic.gov.in from September 23 to October 6.
- The schedule includes a preparation week for schools from October 6 to 13 and a two-hour Live Synchronised Innovation Event on October 13, followed by final submissions through October 31.
- Student ideas are framed around four themes: Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Vocal for Local and Samriddh Bharat.
- Entries will be evaluated in November and December, with over 1,000 winners to be felicitated in January 2026 and a ₹1 crore prize pool distributed across district, state and national tiers.
