Prada and Axiom Unveil Spacesuit for Artemis III Moon Mission

NASA's Artemis III mission will feature a Prada-designed suit for astronauts, marking the first lunar walk for a woman and a person of color.

The Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) was revealed at the International Astronautical Congress in Milan.
Prada's expertise in materials and design techniques contributed to the suit's heat-reflective and lunar dust-resistant properties.
The suit offers enhanced flexibility, mobility, and safety, accommodating a wide range of sizes and featuring advanced communication and biometric systems.
The AxEMU suit is equipped with a cooling system and a regenerable carbon dioxide cleansing mechanism for up to eight-hour spacewalks.
Testing continues with underwater trials planned before the Artemis III mission, set to launch in 2025.
