Prada and Axiom Space Unveil Innovative Spacesuits for NASA's Artemis III Mission

The collaboration introduces advanced spacesuits designed for the first crewed lunar landing since 1972, set to include the first woman and person of color on the Moon.

The AxEMU spacesuits, developed by Axiom Space with Prada's expertise, feature improved safety, flexibility, and performance for lunar exploration.
These suits are designed for diverse body types and include advanced materials and sewing techniques contributed by Prada.
The AxEMU suits will enable astronauts to conduct spacewalks of up to eight hours in extreme lunar conditions, including the Moon's south pole.
Key innovations include a regenerative carbon dioxide scrubbing system, custom gloves, and specialized visor coatings for enhanced visibility.
The suits are undergoing final testing phases and are scheduled for use in the Artemis III mission, aiming for a 2026 launch.
