Overview

• Production officially began in Los Angeles on July 11 under Susanne Bier’s direction with a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett.
• Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman will return as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens.
• Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest are reprising their roles as Aunt Frances and Aunt Jet, and new cast members include Maisie Williams, Joey King, Lee Pace, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod.
• Evan Rachel Wood confirmed on Instagram that she was not asked to return and that Kylie Owens is being recast despite her offer to appear in any capacity.
• The sequel is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 18, 2026.
