- PP secretary general Miguel Tellado announced the party will summon former Moncloa official Francisco “Paco” Salazar to the Senate’s Koldo inquiry to address sexual harassment allegations, with the appearance planned before the 8 February Aragón election.
- Tellado said the PP will also call José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero to testify, a day after the Audiencia Nacional opened preliminary proceedings on a Hazte Oír complaint over his alleged ties to Nicolás Maduro.
- With its Senate majority, the PP can force the appearances, and La Vanguardia reported the chamber will cite Salazar to explain the accusations linked to his time at the Presidency of the Government.
- The financing clash intensified after Finance Minister María Jesús Montero outlined a plan to raise the share of IRPF and VAT managed by regions and to incorporate elements described as ordinality, a proposal critics say favors Catalonia under the PSOE‑ERC pact.
- PP leaders used their A Coruña interparliamentary to oppose the plan, confirmed they will attend the 14 January CPFF to press for details, and Feijóo convened a 18 January summit of regional leaders in Aragón while pledging to present an alternative model within a year if they govern.
