Powerful Typhoon Khanun Brings High Winds and Heavy Rains to Japan and Taiwan Before Heading Toward China

The slow-moving typhoon knocked out power and communications in Okinawa before taking aim at Taiwan and tracking toward China's Zhejiang province.
Officials advised hundreds of thousands of residents to evacuate and take precautions as Khanun brought damaging winds, rain, and flooding to the region.
