Overview
- Media outlets reported the 2 October 2026 PowerBall draw and said the main jackpot was an estimated R90 million with the PowerBall XTRA near R3 million.
- The Citizen published the drawn numbers as PowerBall 15, 26, 27, 28, 39 with PowerBall 10 and PowerBall XTRA 33, 36, 40, 41, 42 with PowerBall 04, but that reporting is not the official record.
- Players are advised to confirm winning numbers and prize payouts on the National Lottery website because it is the authoritative source for final results and claims.
- A standard PowerBall board costs R10 including VAT with PowerBall Plus at an extra R5, and tickets can be bought at authorised retailers, the National Lottery site/app or participating banking apps.
- Coverage noted inconsistencies in live reporting: one outlet showed zeroed placeholder results before updating and publications differed on ticket cut-off time (reported as 20:40 and 20:30), so allow time for official updates before checking tickets.
