Power Outage Near Moussy Forces Eurostar to Cancel London-Paris Services

SNCF engineers closed a section of the high-speed line for major repairs, prompting Eurostar to offer free ticket exchanges or full refunds.

  • Eight London-to-Paris departures were cancelled on August 4 and five of 18 Paris-to-London services were called off, with six more delayed by up to two hours.
  • Routes between London and Brussels, London and Amsterdam, and Brussels and Amsterdam remained unaffected by the outage.
  • TGV InOui and Ouigo trains are being diverted onto conventional lines, extending journey times by 30 minutes to as much as three hours.
