Overview
- The resort introduced phase-one works across its terrain and trails as part of a curated, site-responsive outdoor museum experience.
- Newly installed pieces include Nancy Holt’s “Starfire” and Nobuo Sekine’s long-envisioned “Phase of Nothingness–Stone Stack.”
- Powder Mountain also commissioned EJ Hill’s colorful chairlift interventions and Kayode Ojo’s grove of suspended faux-crystal chandeliers.
- Viewing is included with a lift ticket in winter and is free to the public during hiking and biking seasons in summer and fall.
- Additional works are planned, with a trailside pavilion slated to break ground in 2026 to house immersive installations such as James Turrell’s “Apani.”
