Postal Worker Rescues Toddler Wandering Near Busy Street in Salem

The child had wandered away from his daycare, sparking an investigation into the facility by the Department of Children and Families.

Three-year-old boy wandered away from Salem Community Childcare in Massachusetts, found walking towards a busy street by postal worker David Moulton.
Child, who was only wearing socks on his feet, had reportedly been unattended for over 30 minutes and had tried to open the daycare's door multiple times.
Moulton, who initially thought the boy was playing at a nearby park, intervened when he saw the child walking towards the busy street, picked him up and called the police.
Child was taken to North Shore Medical Center as a precaution, and his parents were notified of the incident.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing with reports filed with the Department of Children and Families and the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
