Overview

  • The Post Office’s previous 28-year partnership with MoneyGram ended in November 2024 after renewal talks collapsed
  • The new pact allows Western Union to roll out services across additional outlets within the Post Office’s 11,500-strong network
  • Both organisations have committed to bespoke in-branch signage and dual-branded marketing campaigns to boost awareness
  • Customers will gain face-to-face access to send funds to more than 200 countries and territories through bank accounts, digital wallets or retail pick-up
  • The deal follows the Post Office’s April agreement with 30 banks and building societies to secure cash access and modernise branch services
