Portland Police Detain Suspect in St. Johns Killing as Separate Dawson Park Stabbing Leads to Murder Charge

Detectives are asking for public tips in the St. Johns case.

  • Jermaine D. McKenzie, 50, was arrested in the Dawson Park case and booked on second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon, and records show a 2019 conviction for attempting to commit a class C felony and a second-degree bias crime.
