Porsche Taycan GTS Breaks Guinness World Record for Longest Ice Drift by EV

The electric sports car completed a 17.5-kilometer continuous drift on ice, surpassing the previous record of 14.8 kilometers.

The record-breaking drift was achieved on January 14, 2025, at the Porsche Arctic Center in Levi, Finland.
Driver Jens Richter completed 132 laps in controlled oversteer, covering 17.503 kilometers in 46 minutes.
The attempt faced challenges, including track deterioration, but adjustments to tire spikes and cooler nighttime conditions enabled success.
The Taycan GTS remained in its stock configuration, using Michelin tires with 1mm spikes and a GPS system to verify the achievement.
This marks the fourth Guinness World Record for the Taycan, following previous records for altitude change, indoor speed, and dry-pavement drifting.
