Porsche Returns Carrera GT to Zero‑Kilometre Condition in Factory Re‑Commission

Porsche will document the restoration in its archive to safeguard provenance and value.

Overview

  • The 2005 Carrera GT was completely disassembled, its 5.7‑liter V10 overhauled, and carbon components recoated to achieve a technically new state.
  • The exterior now wears a hand‑painted Salzburg 917 tribute in Indian Red and white with number 23, complemented by matte carbon accents and black refinished wheels.
  • The interior was retrimmed in Indian Red Alcantara across major touchpoints, with matte carbon details and a durable black motorsport textile sourced from the 918 Spyder.
  • Owner Victor Gómez commissioned the project and will take the car to Puerto Rico for regular road use, with the bespoke paint protected by a transparent film.
  • The work was carried out by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch Factory Re‑Commission program, which issues formal documentation and updates its company archive for transparency.
