Popular New Hampshire Governor Sununu Announces He Won't Seek Reelection in 2024

Republican Gov. Chris Sununu announced he will not run for a fifth term as governor of New Hampshire in 2024.
Sununu believes public service should not be a career and it is time for another Republican to lead the state.
Former State Sen. Chuck Morse and potentially former Sen. Kelly Ayotte have announced Republican campaigns to replace Sununu.
Democrats see Sununu's departure as an opportunity to flip the seat and Manchester Mayor Joyce Craig and Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington have launched campaigns.
Sununu was a popular governor but recently decided against running for U.S. Senate or President in 2024.
