Pontevedra Awards €4.4 Million Framework Contracts for Provincial Roads

A streamlined procurement model allocates €873,700 to O Morrazo alongside €636,300 earmarked for O Salnés under a framework scheme designed to enhance regional mobility

Overview

  • The Diputación de Pontevedra formalized six framework contract lots worth €4.4 million during its July 20 government meeting to consolidate maintenance and safety works across the provincial network.
  • Lot 4 dedicates €873,700 to upgrades on six O Morrazo routes—EP-1001, EP-1008, EP-1103, EP-1102, EP-1304 and EP-1305—linking Cangas, Moaña and Bueu.
  • Eleven roads in O Salnés spanning Cambados, Meaño, Meis, Ribadumia, Sanxenxo and Vilanova de Arousa will receive €636,300 in works such as pavement milling, resurfacing, drainage and signage renewal.
  • A separate €1.3 million safety enhancement project for the EP-1002 corridor between A Madalena and Aldán is being processed under an 80/20 funding split with the Concello de Cangas.
  • Six construction firms submitted bids under the framework contracts and provincial technical teams are now evaluating their proposals before formal award.
