Polygon Adds Solana to Open Money Stack Payments

The move gives Solana businesses a single integration to link bank rails, embedded wallets with cross-chain routing for payouts.

Overview

  • Polygon announced on Oct. 29, 2026 that Open Money Stack now supports Solana, enabling apps on that network to accept bank and card funding, hold embedded wallets, route stablecoins across chains, and deliver global payouts through one API.
  • The Solana integration builds on Polygon Trails, letting firms move USDC, USDT, PYUSD, SOL and wrapped SOL between Solana and EVM networks without running their own bridges or pre-funding liquidity.
  • Cross-border payments firms including Kira, plus Tazapay, Mesh and Toku, are early adopters using the integration to convert stablecoin transfers into bank dollars for supplier payments, payroll and merchant payouts.
  • Polygon says its Oct. 14 Coinme acquisition added 37 state money-transmitter licenses and 11 exemptions for 48-state U.S. coverage and FinCEN registration, which underpins OMS’s fiat on‑ and off‑ramp services.
  • Polygon has not disclosed Solana-specific volumes or pricing, and industry observers warn that centralizing cross-chain routing and payouts concentrates operational and security risk because bridges and routers have been frequent targets of attacks.
