Polish Truckers' Blockade Delays Military Supplies to Ukraine

Protest against EU transport rules disrupts delivery of crucial battlefield equipment, exacerbating conflict with Russia

Polish truck drivers have been blocking access roads to border crossings with Ukraine since November 6, causing a significant delay in the delivery of military supplies to Ukraine's battlefield.
The blockade is a protest against the European Union's relaxation of some transport rules, which Polish truckers claim has allowed Ukrainian truckers to undercut their business.
Ukrainian charities and companies warn that the blockade is causing a growing problem, with items such as pickup trucks, tourniquets, and components to build drones stuck at the border.
The delay in the delivery of these supplies is having a direct impact on the battlefield, with the Russian army having the ability to 'kill Ukrainian soldiers and terrorize civilians for several weeks longer,' according to Oleksandr Zadorozhnyi, operational director of the KOLO foundation.
Despite negotiations between Polish and Ukrainian officials with help from the European Commission, the protest has only expanded, with no quick resolution in sight.
