- A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and a woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice; both have been released on bail.
- Police emphasise there is no evidence linking either vehicle directly to the collision but believe the drivers may have seen something relevant.
- Candlelit vigils in Pateley Bridge and Glasshouses have highlighted community grief and reinforced calls for fresh eyewitness and dashcam evidence.
