Overview

  • The trove comprises nearly 200 blurred and redacted photographs and surveillance clips from the demolished off-campus house at 1122 King Road, showing blood spatter, handprints and typical college-life items.
  • Investigators matched DNA on a Ka-Bar knife sheath found at the scene to Kohberger and reviewed footage of his white Hyundai Elantra circling the residence before the attack.
  • Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty in July under a deal removing the death penalty and received four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
  • Authorities have found no motive or prior connection between Kohberger, a criminology PhD student at Washington State University, and the four victims.
  • Surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support relocation, intensive trauma therapy and enhanced security after witnessing the killings.
