Overview
- NSW Police were called to the Falcon Street campus about 12:40pm following reports a student was carrying a knife.
- Officers were told an altercation occurred between two students in a classroom before one left in possession of a knife.
- Television footage showed multiple officers pursuing the teenager through the grounds and a plain-clothes officer later holding the recovered knife.
- Police used a Taser to arrest the student, who was taken to hospital for assessment as inquiries continue.
- The NSW Department of Education said the lockdown ended around 1:30pm and classes resumed with all students and staff safe.
