Overview

• The deceased was identified as 18-year-old Antriksh (Antariksh) Kumar Singh from Lucknow, a first-term cadet in Charlie Squadron who joined the academy in July 2025.
• Fellow cadets discovered him unresponsive after he did not report for training, and he was declared dead at the Military Hospital, Khadakwasla, at about 6:30 am.
• Police said he was found hanging in his room, no suicide note was recovered, and an investigation is being conducted by Uttam Nagar police in Pune.
• The National Defence Academy announced a court of inquiry to establish the circumstances of the death and has informed the next of kin.
