Police Stop Stolen Taxi After Driver Is Robbed in Wiesbaden

The late-night attack followed a fare dispute, with one suspect over the 1.0‰ alcohol limit and lacking a license.

  • Police say four women aged 16 to 24 assaulted a 66-year-old taxi driver during a payment dispute in central Wiesbaden on Dec. 3.
  • They pulled the driver from his cab, injuring his leg, before two fled on foot and two drove off in the taxi.
  • Officers intercepted the stolen vehicle shortly after on Steinberger Straße following the ride from Schwalbacher Straße to Rheinstraße.
  • The driver of the stolen taxi had no license and recorded a breath alcohol level above 1.0‰, and her passenger was heavily intoxicated.
  • Two suspects aged 23 and 24 were held overnight, the other two were later identified, and investigations are underway against all four.
