Overview
- Roshan Sharma, wanted in more than 18 cases of murder, loot and arms violations across Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal, was shot in the leg during an escape attempt near Kurkuri village on August 6 and taken into custody.
- Interrogation of Sharma led police to a clandestine mini gun factory in Phulwarisharif where they seized weapons, raw materials and semi-finished firearms.
- He is under guarded medical care at Patna Medical College and Hospital following initial treatment for his gunshot wound.
- Bihar Police have notified Jharkhand and West Bengal authorities of Sharma’s arrest and are coordinating with neighbouring forces to apprehend his network.
- The arrest marks the latest milestone in Operation Langda, the state‐wide multi‐agency effort launched in July to dismantle entrenched criminal networks operating across Bihar and neighbouring states.
