Metropolitan Police have charged Omar Wilson with grievous bodily harm with intent, but charges may be reviewed following Imnetu's death.
Detectives are seeking information from 16 individuals who were near the Dr Power restaurant at the time of the attack.
Imnetu had left The Arts Club in Mayfair earlier in the day and later arrived at the restaurant alone.
Another fatal stabbing occurred at the carnival, claiming the life of Cher Maximen, who was with her young daughter.
