Overview
- Police Scotland say a road worker clearing fallen trees with a chainsaw was pushed into a ditch around noon on October 4 near Glen Goy, about 1.5 miles north of Spean Bridge.
- The victim was not seriously injured, and officers condemned the attack as outrageous and dangerous given the severe weather conditions.
- The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-40s to 50s, about 5ft 9in, medium build with grey facial hair, wearing a blue beanie, black Rab waterproof jacket and blue jeans.
- Investigators believe the man spoke with a French or Italian accent and was driving a grey left-hand-drive Renault van, possibly a Trafic, with a foreign plate showing the numbers 7532.
- Witnesses are urged to review dashcam footage and contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1541, or report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
