Police Seek Footage After Random Drive-By Damages Waukesha Homes
A joint city–county probe is collecting doorbell video along River Valley Road with no suspect, motive, or confirmed vehicle description.
Overview
- Gunfire struck at least three houses along River Valley Road between 8 and 9 p.m. on Jan. 24, with shots believed to have come from a passing vehicle.
- Residents on River Valley Road and nearby streets are asked to review security footage from 8:20 to 9 p.m. Saturday and report bullet damage to 262-524-3831.
- Because the street straddles a jurisdictional line, Waukesha police and the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a coordinated investigation.
- Police say the attack appears random, one struck home was vacant, and officers are canvassing door-to-door as they continue to gather additional video.
- Investigators reviewed a separate New Berlin shooting early Monday and determined it was not connected to the River Valley Road incident.
