Police have concentrated their search for Elkins' remains at the Pine Tree Acres Landfill in Lenox Township, covering a six to seven-acre area based on evidence gathered during the investigation.
Elkins' ex-boyfriend, DeAndre Howard Booker, has been arrested and charged with lying to police; authorities allege a violent crime occurred at his Roseville residence before her disappearance.
Investigators seized a trash dumpster near Booker's apartment and found Elkins' car abandoned nearby, with her phone last pinging in the same area.
Booker, who faces additional scrutiny for suspicious online searches and an alleged attempt to flee, is being held on a $250,000 bond as the investigation continues.
