Police Search Berlin Home of Climate Activist Over Alleged Coercion of Court Official
Authorities are investigating a 24-year-old member of 'Last Generation' for allegedly attempting to pressure a court president into finalizing her conviction.
- The Berlin police searched the apartment of a 'Last Generation' climate activist suspected of attempted coercion of a former court president.
- The investigation stems from allegations that the activist, identified as Lilli G., tried to pressure the court official to ensure her July conviction became legally binding.
- Lilli G. was convicted in July for property damage related to a protest at the Alexanderplatz World Clock and fined 180 daily rates of €10 each.
- In August, she allegedly claimed in a letter to have paid €25,000 to the judge's spouse to influence the case, threatening to go public if her demand was not met.
- During the search, police seized a mobile phone as evidence, which will now be analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation.
