Overview

  • Responding officers documented an open cooler bag with multiple empty and open White Claw hard seltzer cans in the Ford Explorer, according to the report.
  • Walsh told police he had been drinking at the Mule Barn Tavern near Sandy Hook and appeared "very red" and "very confused" at the scene, the report states.
  • He agreed to provide a blood sample at the hospital, and no DWI charge has been filed while results are processed.
  • He was cited on Aug. 20 for six violations: open container, reckless driving, expired registration, failure to keep right, unsafe lane change or failure to maintain lane, and driving on a sidewalk.
  • The Aug. 17 crash in Rumson sent two passengers to Riverview Medical Center and involved his wife, two children and another passenger, and a court date is set for Sept. 10.
