Police Report Alleges Nancy Mace Cursed Out TSA and Airport Police in Charleston

Her office disputes the account and frames her airport access as a security accommodation.

Overview

  • An incident report obtained via FOIA says officers found Mace near the Known Crewmember checkpoint after a vehicle mix-up and quoted her calling police “f—ing incompetent” during an escort to Gate B-8.
  • A TSA supervisor, identified in reports as Johnny Lynch, told officers he was very upset, said several agents were spoken to the same way, and indicated he planned to submit a report to his superiors.
  • Officers reviewing video said Mace arrived in a gray or silver BMW after they were told to look for a white BMW, and one wrote that an ordinary passenger behaving similarly would have drawn a police response.
  • Mace posted surveillance clips and messages on X asserting she used the same entrance lawmakers use, rejecting claims that TSA blocked her and criticizing local reporting.
  • Her campaign cited heightened threats and said security drives her travel procedures, she accused GOP rival Alan Wilson of spying on her, and no disciplinary action or formal inquiry has been announced as TSA and airline officials have not publicly responded.
