Overview
- Two calves vanished from pastures in the Dithmarschen and Steinburg districts, one between July 29–31 near Am Eiderdeich in Tielenhemme and the other on the night of August 11–12 in Hennstedt.
- The missing animals are about three weeks old, have brown coats, and together are valued at nearly €1,500.
- Investigators found no signs of broken fences or predator attacks, leading them to conclude the calves were deliberately removed by unknown individuals.
- Police Tellingstedt is leading the probe and has set up a hotline (04838 2049910) and email (Tellingstedt[email protected]) for community tips.
- The case remains unsolved and puzzling in a low-traffic rural area, with authorities emphasising that local observations could provide crucial leads.
