• After spreading accelerant and triggering a fire, one suspect was captured running down Nicholl Lane engulfed in flames.
• Fire and Rescue NSW crews evacuated upper-level residents and extinguished the blaze with no injuries and only minor damage reported.
• The salon was targeted in two additional overnight break-in attempts on July 2 and July 5, with intruders fleeing before police arrived.
