• CCTV from Tuohy Lane captures a masked man lighting a fire in a Marrickville restaurant courtyard on May 29 and returning before 1am on May 30 with accelerant and fireworks to trigger a major explosion
• Investigators believe the same individual is connected to an August 9, 2024, arson at an Ettalong Beach tobacconist, suggesting a wider pattern of organised crime–linked attacks
• The suspect is described as about 185cm tall with black curly shoulder-length hair, glasses, medium build and a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance
• He was seen driving a grey Toyota Hilux at a service station near the Central Coast attack site, and police have released images to help identify him
