Overview
- Two bodies were found just after 5pm Friday at a Boambee residence on the outskirts of Coffs Harbour, NSW.
- Police identified the 61-year-old female resident, and the deceased man is believed to have been a visiting family friend in his 60s who had stayed only a few days.
- Strike Force Yarnko is leading the inquiry with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, and detectives appealed for public information to Coffs Harbour Police.
- In a separate case in Hobart, a walker found a woman in her 30s in the Hobart Rivulet about 4:30pm Friday, with dive-team work and local door-knocks to follow as the cause remains undetermined.
- Investigators say there is currently no evidence of other people being involved and no ongoing threat to the community, and reports will be prepared for the coroner.
