Overview
- Annalyse Blyton, 17, died on 7 September after suffering critical injuries from a dog attack in Singleton, New South Wales.
- Police say she was visiting a friend on 4 September when the dog attacked in the yard, causing severe wounds to her head, neck and body.
- She was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital and remained in critical condition for three days before dying.
- The dog, reported as a 10-year-old boxer–Irish hound cross, was euthanized with the owner’s consent, and the owner said the animal had not shown such behavior previously.
