Police Launch Murder Investigation After E-Bike Passenger Killed in Derbyshire Hit-and-Run

Alana Armstrong, a 25-year-old mother from Tibshelf, Derbyshire, was killed on Tuesday evening when a Land Rover Discovery rammed the e-bike she was riding as a passenger.
The collision occurred on Batley Lane in Pleasley, with the vehicle fleeing the scene after causing Armstrong and the rider to fall off the bike.
The e-bike rider, a man in his 20s, survived but sustained severe injuries, including the amputation of his leg below the knee.
Derbyshire Police have launched a murder investigation and are seeking information about a dark-colored Land Rover Discovery, believed to be manufactured between 2004 and 2009, last seen heading toward New Houghton.
Two individuals initially arrested in connection with the case have been released without charge, and police are urging anyone with relevant information, including CCTV footage, to come forward.
