Police Investigating Alleged Theft of Jewelry from Colorado Football Team's Locker Room During UCLA Game
Players and coaches, as well as staff of the YouTube channel "Well Off Media," claim thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry and cash were stolen from their belongings during the match, and say they are assisting the Pasadena Police Department’s investigation, which confirmed the absence of surveillance cameras in the locker rooms.
- Pasadena Police have launched an investigation into the theft of jewelry and cash from the Colorado Football Team's locker room during their UCLA game at the Rose Bowl. The thefts occurred while the players were on the field and the absence of surveillance cameras in the locker rooms has complicated investigation efforts.
- Several players along with staff of the YouTube channel 'Well Off Media' reported the thefts. Among the stolen items were jewelry chains that some players had just recently acquired.
- The Pasadena Police Department and private security were present at the game which saw 71,343 attendees, the largest crowd in the Kelly era. They are furthering their investigations working closely with UCLA and Rose Bowl officials.
- Colorado's head coach, Deion Sanders, has yet to address the thefts. He previously encountered a similar incident in February 2021 at Jackson State where his personal items were stolen and later recovered from his office during a game.
- Despite this setback, Colorado has seen increasingly high viewer and attendee ratings this season following the arrival of Deion Sanders. Starting the season with three straight wins, they have drawn unprecedented interest despite losing four of their past five games.
